Regulated qualifications
LanguageCert has been granted Awarding Organisation recognition, while its LanguageCert International ESOL qualifications have been regulated by the designated official authorities in the following countries:
England - Ofqual
ESOL International qualifications are primarily designed for candidates who are not native speakers of English and who wish to achieve a high quality, internationally recognised qualification in English that is available and recognised worldwide and at the highest level (RQF level 3 / CEF C2).
They are suitable for candidates who are preparing for entry to higher education or professional employment. ESOL International qualifications are designed to reference the descriptions of language proficiency in the Common European Framework Reference for Languages (CEF). The levels in the CEF have been mapped to the levels in the Regulatory Qualifications Framework (RQF) in England.
GrowSkills is listed by OFQUAL on the Register of Regulated Qualifications with the following ESOL International qualification titles recorded at the following CEF levels.
LanguageCert has been recognised by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) as an Awarding Organisation, offering International ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) qualifications.
LanguageCert International ESOL qualifications (Levels A1-C2) are regulated by Oqual in the sector subject area “Languages, literature and culture of the British Isles”.
The qualifications reside in the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) from Entry Level 1 to 3 and Level 1 to 8, which maps to the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications. In addition, they map to the European Qualifications Framework, as portability is important to those looking for jobs or seeking to employ people from across the continent. They also directly map to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) from level A1 to C2.
LanguageCert International ESOL qualifications are:
- A valid proof of English language proficiency for employers in UK
- Pre-requisites for UK qualifications that require evidence of suitable English language proficiency
- Evidence of English language proficiency in order to study at a UK or International University*
* Each University’s requirements of proficiency may differ. Certificate holders should contact the university of their interest for specific information.
